The safety of our community is a top priority for Jewish Federation. In our ever changing and volatile world, the need for us to be prepared, aware, and proactive with regards to our institutional safety and security is critical. As part of Federation’s national system we have access to the Security Community Network, Federation’s security partner which provides local, national, and worldwide access. The power of a national collaboration is critical.
Director, Jewish Community Security
Tim Torell
In our deep commitment to keeping the community safe, we have a fulltime Director of Jewish Community Security on staff. He is the liaison to law enforcement, works with agencies, synagogues, and day schools on security planning and implementation, and he offers critical security training seminars for the community.
Meet Tim
Tim is a part of The Anzilotti Group, a national security and investigations consultancy that helps clients in the public and private sectors mitigate risk and operate more safely, effectively, and professionally. He comes to the job with 43 years of experience in law enforcement, most recently as the Officer-In-Charge of the Investigations Division of the Englewood City Police Department with the rank of Detective Captain. He has a background in investigations, homeland security, community relations, training, and leadership. Tim will work full-time with Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey.
