On January 15, 2022, the world watched in disbelief as an 11-hour standoff with an armed gunman took place inside Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas. Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker and three of his congregants were held hostage until the Rabbi’s quick thinking and heroism led to the hostages’ escape.
Rabbi Charlie will join us to share both his personal story of resilience as well as a larger perspective on how our Jewish community organizations survive and thrive in an increasingly hostile world.
