A warm, vibrant Conservative synagogue in Wayne, NJ, is looking for a dynamic full-time administrator for a congregation of about 200 families.
Our Synagogue Administrator reports to the Congregation’s Executive Vice President and Rabbi.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Overseeing both day-to-day operations of the office and maintaining the facility
- Handling the synagogue’s finances in cooperation with the financial officers
- Serving as a contact person for prospective and current members
- Coordinating all events and the synagogue calendar
Desired qualifications include:
- A working knowledge of Jewish holidays, practices, and terminology
- Experience with databases is essential and knowledge of ShulCloud is helpful
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, QuickBooks, and Canva
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and interact well and create an environment of trust with the Board of Trustees, congregants, staff, and others
- Excellent oral, written, and proofreading skills
Additional helpful qualifications include:
- Prior supervisory experience
- Social Media Skills
