Part-time Synagogue Office Manager

A warm, vibrant 200-member Conservative Movement synagogue in Wayne, NJ, looking for a dynamic part-time Office Manager

Office Manager reports to the Congregation’s Executive Vice President and Rabbi

Primary responsibilities include:

●      Overseeing day-to-day operations of the office, maintaining the facility, ordering supplies

●      Processing payroll together with Treasurer

●      Serving as a contact person for prospective and current members

●      Coordinating all events and the synagogue calendar

Desired qualifications include:

●       A working knowledge of Jewish holidays, practices, and terminology

●       Experience with databases and knowledge of ShulCloud are helpful

●       Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs

●       Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

●       Ability to work as part of a team and interact well and help create an environment of trust with the Board, congregants, staff, and others

●       Excellent oral, written, and proofreading skills

●       Prior supervisory experience

●       Social Media Skills

 

Schedule:

20 hours/week (4 hours/day Monday through Friday)

36 hours/week from mid-August through the end of September (8 hours/day Monday through Thursday, 4 hours Friday)

 

Pay Range: $36,000 – $40,000

Paid Time Off: 6 Vacation Days, 8 Secular Holidays, All Major Jewish Holidays
