The Return from the Other Planet is a documentary about Yechiel De-Nur, a Holocaust survivor who rose to literary fame under the pen name Ka-Tzetnik.

The film delves into De-Nur’s life, exploring how his Holocaust experiences shaped his identity and creative work. Through his deeply personal books—translated into 32 languages and selling millions—he shared the unimaginable horrors of the Holocaust, leaving a lasting impact on global memory and understanding.

Blending evocative animated sequences with expert commentary, the film brings De-Nur’s inner world and literary persona Ka-Tzetnik to life. Contemporary witnesses and researchers offer insight into his complex identity and enduring legacy.
